Floriade 2012 and Just a Drop

The World Horticultural Expo takes place from April till October 2012 in the Venlo Region in the South of the Netherlands.

The participating countries, companies and public and semi-public bodies present themselves to more than two million guests from all over the world with their most innovative, sustainable, creative and exceptional stories about their plants, flowers, trees, fruit and vegetables of the world.


By walking through the park with its beautiful gardens and pavilions, guests get a multi sensory experience about the quality of life coming from horticulture. Guests can enjoy a daily cultural program that combines music, dance, literature, theatre and visual arts. Floriade 2012 offers a great range of food and dining possibilities throughout the day.

Custom made programs for groups such as children, group travellers and Business to Business are currently being developed.

Floriade 2012 supports Just a Drop this year!

This year NBTC in co-operation with Floriade 2012 actively supports the fundraisising activity for Just a Drop at WTM 2009.  Fundraisers carrying the JAD signature blue buckets, will sport an new colourful look this year wearing accessories in Floriade style made from 100% natural and sustainable materials. Please give generously.

Floriade 2012 is also giving away free bottles of purest water to create awarenss for Just a Drop’s good cause. You can collect your bottle from the Holland Meeting Point or from the Just a Drop stand on the main boulevard.
